Obituary

Born March 12, 1931 passed away suddenly on June 26, 2012 at the young age of 81.
Bill was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the VFW, a Boy Scout leader, an Indian Princess leader, belonged to the Knights of Columbus, and was involved with helping many.
Previously a resident of Richmond, Indiana; and at the time of his passing resided in Crown Point, Indiana.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois where as a young man he met Rose (Radice), they married and had five children. Bill and Rose started their life together on the West side of Chicago but soon moved to the northwest side of Chicago where they raised their family. They belonged to St. Eugene's parish, and gave their children an excellent education.
Bill worked in the plastics and silk screen industries and was responsible for inventing several items, one of them being the corneal implant glide (patent 4500382). He had many accomplishments and achievements in his life, and was well known and recognized throughout these industries.
Bill was truly a one of a kind man; handsome, strong, nurturing; loving, caring, understanding; a joker, and good natured. He was loved by all that new him, and admired by many, yet the most down to earth humble man you could chance upon. He always had a kind word, and was full of unbelievable wisdom and insight. He enjoyed the outdoors, reading, woodworking, old movies, and had a great love and appreciation for music. He loved life, but his great love, his deepest and most cherished love was for his entire family.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary (Herres), sisters Mary (Lundstrum), and Kathleen (Hendricks), brother John Foster (twin to)sister Elizabeth Foster, brother Tom Foster, grandchild Kathleen (Foster), and his dearest Pauline (Rice).
He is survived by his sisters Joan (Pelligrini),and Annabelle "Punkin" (Miles/Black), and his five children William II, Laura, Lisa, Jim, and Linda; 13 grandchildren Nicole, William III, Luke, Djuro III "Chris", Thomas, Ashley, Christina, Michael, Rachel, Kristyn, Jamie, Joshua, Brendan; and 8 great grandchildren Connor, Kaylin, Ethan, Larissa, Evan, Audrey, Julijana, and Landon; his wife Rose (Radice) Foster, and well over 100 nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
"DAD, UNCLE BILL, COUSIN BILL, GRAMPS, OLD MAN, POPS,BILL, BILLY"; whatever name he was known by there is one thing we all knew for sure, he was real, he was LOVED, and will be sorely and deeply missed by all of us.
Visitation Friday, June 29 from 4-9 p.m. Prayers Saturday 11:15 a.m. to St Eugene Church for Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 Noon. Interment Private.
