Vjekoslav "Louie" Neral, age 79 of Montello and formerly of Chicago passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2015 at his home. Louie was born on March 19, 1935 in Croatia to Franjo and Trezia (Kuharic) Neral. Louie leaves behind his wife, Susan, two children: Christopher of Colorado and Heidi (Curt) Ammons of Warrenville, IL and four grandchildren: Wade, Kaileigh, Chase and Clementine. He is also survived by five siblings: Ivan (Ljerka), Ankica, Sister Maristella, Katica and Barica as well as sisters-in-law: Elsa, Seka and Nancy and brothers-in-law: Roger (Susan), Lance (Cheryl) and William (Liliana) and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Louie is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Petar, Josia, Franjo and Marica as well as sisters-in-law: Karen and Stefica. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Kolbus-John V. May Funeral Home 6857 W. Higgins Ave, Chicago. Funeral Prayers 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with procession to St. Monica Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Acacia Cemetery, Chicago.
