The death has occurred of Vickie Beckles (nee Chase) on June 25 ^th 2020, peacefully in the wonderful care of Norwood Crossing, loving mother of Gavin, Tia and Tisha, sister of Stella, Patsy, Terry, Keith, Honey, Pam and the late Yvonne, Bing and Lance. Very deeply regretted by her loving family, daughter-in-law Margie, son-in-law Victor, grand-children Naja, Naya, Jordan, Jace and Justin.

She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her grandchildren, known to them as, "Mum", embraced every moment with them. She had a vivacious personality and always made those around her laugh, loved to dance and will remain an iconic fashion influencer of her time. To those that knew her, Vickie was the strongest woman, they'd ever met. She seemed to not be afraid of anyone or anything. Vickie worked in the health care profession most of her life, earning her several accolades along a distinguished Nursing career. As tirelessly as she worked in life, may she peacefully rest in death.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 4 p.m. until time of service, 6 p.m., at Kolbus-May Funeral Home 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago. Interment will be held privately.  For information 773-774-3232 or www.kolbusmayfh.com
