Richard "Rick" Lapke, 72, loving partner of 46 years of Janice: beloved father of Jeff (Fleur), Jamie (Michael), Amee, and Becki (Ryan); cherished grandfather of Arsinoe, Aethelflaed, Renn, Desmond, and Ty; devoted brother of the late Robert (Jay), Michael (Janette), Daniel (Elise), and Janet (Tim); devoted uncle of Jennifer, Kevin, Valerie, Andrew, and Tyler; and sweet cousin of many.

Rick was a loving goofball to all who knew him. He was a dyed in the wool Cubs fan through and through, friend to all the squirrels in Merrimac Gardens, and the absolutely best person to have on your team for trivia games. He enjoyed playing games so much with his family, that through his enthusiasm, he taught all of them how to lose gracefully. He was gentle and kind, and will be missed deeply by his family and friends.

Funeral Prayers Saturday, March 26, 9:45 a.m. at Kolbus-May Funeral Home, 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago, IL. Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pascals Catholic Church, interment private.
