Ralph Kleiner of Chicago, Illinois passed away on November 2, 2014 under the loving care of his family. He was born on February 12, 1937 in Yugoslavia to Mathias and Theresia (Szuhany) Kleiner. Ralph is survived by his wife Penny (Veil); three children Rick (Kathleen) Stege, Andrea (Robert) Krainik and Rudy Kleiner; five grandchildren James (Tammy) Stege, Jacob Stege, Charlene Stege, Nicholas Krainik and Aidan Krainik; three great-grandchildren Joey, Allison and Raine. He was preceded in passing by his parents and his son Steven Kleiner. Ralph was a devote Christian, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his family. He was a retired Chicago Police Officer of 31 years and a U.S. Army Veteran. Visitation to honor the life of Ralph Kleiner will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Kolbus-John V. May Funeral Home, 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago. St. Jude Service will be held Tuesday 7 P.M. Please meet at the Funeral Home Wednesday, November 5, 2014 10 A.M. for prayers and procession to St. Lambert Church (8148 Karlov Ave., Skokie) for 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial.
