Philip John Schoffen, age 92, died peacefully at Lakeview Memory Care, Bloomingdale, IL on August 19, 2021. He was born June 11, 1929 in Chicago, IL. Phil was a lifelong resident of Chicago. He graduated from St. Hilary Catholic Grade School and St. George High School. He worked most of his adult life for Marshall Fields and Company. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Veronica (Smith) and Francis Schoffen; sister, Barbara (Schoffen) Walker; brother-in-law, Kenneth Walker; and niece, Susan Walker. He is survived by his nieces, Laura (Don) Morin and Nancy (John) Jacob; great nephews, John (Julianne), Michael, William and Thomas; great niece, Margaret; great great niece, Charlotte Jacob; and dear cousin, Debra Walter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 7958 W. Foster Ave., Chicago. Family and friends may visit at Church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery.
