Peggy  Dietrich nee Koehler,  age 51, of Chicago, IL, died of sudden heart failure on April 19, 2017. She was born December 8, 1965. Married to David (Dave) Dietrich and had their son, Michael (Mike). Preceded in passing by her father, Michael Koehler in 2015. Survived by her mother, Patricia Koehler, sister Kathleen (Dwight) Elmendorf, Carrie (Bruce) Hanson, nephew Eric Hanson, and niece, Cassidy Hanson. Also survived by Dave's parents, Jane and David Dietrich, Dave's brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Michelle, Brad and Jennilee, and Keith and Nicky, and her Dietrich nieces and nephews – Luke, Logan, Danielle, Julia, Brady, and Gavin.

Peg loved her role as a teacher and coach working in Deerfield High School and Our Lady of Victory Grade School.

She graduated from Mundelein High School in 1984. Attended the University of Tulsa on a basketball scholarship, and graduated in Broadcast Journalism in 1989. She earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration in 2002 from National-Louis University.

Peggy was very proud of her Indian heritage and her great grandfather, Jim Thorpe.

Memorial visitation 10 a.m. to time of Mass 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 4434 N. Laramie Ave., Chicago. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Catholic Charities or your favorite charity. Interment private. For more information please call 773-774-3232.
