Bixio Moresi of Chicago, Illinois died Sunday, November 16, 2014 under the loving care of his family and friends. He was born in Certara, Switzerland May 1925 and immigrated to United States soon after. Bixio attended Chicago Public School and served in U.S. Army Air Corps from 1944-1945. He is survived by four children Leslie (Jim) Kuyken, David (Carole) Moresi, Susan Moresi and Christine Moresi; two grandchildren Scott (Amy) Kuyken and Brian Kuyken; he was preceded in passing by his wife Gwendolyn who he married in 1946. Bixio graduated from Chicago Teacher's College in 1960 and taught in Chicago Public Schools. He was a life-long Cubs fan. He retired in 1993 then lived an active retired life hoping for the Cubs to win a World Series. He loved playing the accordion and started playing in bands in high school, played professionally through 1980's.
Visitation to honor the life of Mr. Bixio Moresi will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014, starting at 11 A.M. until the time of service. Service will be at 12:15 P.M. at Kolbus-John V. May Funeral Home, 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago. Interment private. For more info 773-774-3232.
