Michael J. Janik, 61; beloved husband of James Behrendt; loving son of Patricia Janik-Franzek; devoted brother of Mark Janik, Linda (John) Scott, Jill (Ronald) Weich, and Gregory (Barbara) Franzek; nephew and godson of Dorothy Varela; cherished brother-in-law of Debbie (Frank) Taormino, Becky (Dawn) Behrendt-Bridegroom, Roger (Natalie) Behrendt, and Brenda (Robert) D'Onofrio; uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews; and loving pet dad of Maggie.

Michael was predeceased by his father Jerome H. Janik and step-father James Franzek.

Michael loved working in his garden and canning the tomatoes he grew every season. Cooking was a favorite past time, but he and his husband James were known for their Polish Sausage. Michael spent many afternoons and nights playing card games like Rummy, Uno, and "Killer Uno" with family and friends. Michael was a loving husband, doting son, and a great friend to many.
