Mary K. Brennan, age 63, passed away Oct. 27, 2021. She was born Aug. 28, 1958 in Chicago to Margaret and the late Patrick Brennan. Mary graduated from Schurz High School in 1976. She worked as an insurance underwriter for over 40 years in the Chicagoland area. Mary was an avid gardener and die-hard Bears Fan. She touched many lives with her generosity and was always willing to lend a hand or offer a listening ear. Best friend and beloved wife of Kevin Powers for 37 years; loving mother of JoDel and Jason; adoring grandmother to Jacob and Gunnar Powers; dearest sister of Jean, Barbara, Donna (Todd) Bunnetto, Patti (Bruce) Knapp; beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews; and friend to many. Preceded in death by her father Patrick and brother Paul.

Visitation Friday, Oct. 29, from 3 PM – 9 PM at Kolbus – John V. May Funeral Home, 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago. Funeral Prayers Saturday, Oct. 30 at 9 AM from the funeral home to St. Monica Church for 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
