Marianne F. McGlynn

Marianne F. McGlynn, passed from this life on December 30, 2025, at the age of 92. She was a faithful Catholic that believed in the promise of a new, eternal life with God.

Marianne was the second of five children born to Philip and Estelle (Drajus) McGlynn and raised on the west side of Chicago, IL. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows parish and school as well as Providence High School. Marianne was an example of patience, kindness, joy, hard work, and faith to her siblings.

Marianne worked for more than 40 years at Illinois Bell and AT&T. Upon retirement she worked for the Order of Friar Servants of Mary (Servites) development office in Berwyn.

Marianne loved to travel, spend time with friends, and was very active and social. She was always generous to her friends and family.

Marianne was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Terrence and Fr. Philip, O.S.M.. She is survived by her siblings John (Patricia) and Sr. Pat McGlynn S.P.; nieces Kathleen (David) and Peggy (Chris); nephews Michael (Danielle) and Kevin (Mindy); many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

May the angels guide her home, may the saints welcome her, and until we meet again, may God hold Marianne in the hollow of His hand.
