Joann Morris was in born Chicago and passed away peacefully in her sleep.  Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many.  Born to the late Anthony and Carmela Giacalone.  Joann was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Marty Morris and siblings Louie, JuJu and Phyllis.  She is survived by her daughter, Carla and son-in-law Jim and her three beautiful grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan and Amanda.  Joann will be remembered as a devoted caretaker, lovingly, caring for her mother, husband, daughter, and sister.  Joann found joy in life's simple but most meaningful pleasures. She enjoyed Sunday dinners, with those she loved most around the table for food, laughter, and stories. She love to eat, to laugh and spend time with her many many friends.  She especially loved playing cards.

Joann's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to Carla son-in-law Jim and her grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan and Amanda who brought endless joy to her life.

Joann lived a life rich with love and friendship.  Her laughter was contagious and her heart endlessly giving.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m.

Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
