Gloria "Glo" Mahler, RN, was born on July 31, 1949 and passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024; beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Carol Mahler; loving sister of Linda (Jonathan) Koester, Lawrence Jr. (Sonya) Mahler and Laura Voss; cherished aunt of Joel (Kaitlyn) Koester, Brittany Koester, Lorel Voss and Tyler Voss; great-aunt of Caleb and Collin Koester. Gloria was a dedicated registered nurse at the Presbyterian Home and Resurrection Hospital for several decades.  She was an avid sports fan of all Chicago teams, loved to garden, and listening to her beloved WGN radio.  Visitation, Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Kolbus-May Funeral Home 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church 6201 W. Patterson Ave., Chicago.  Inurnment will be private at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a donation in Gloria's name to Main Stay Therapeutic Farm or Messian Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
