Geraldine (Gerri) V. Schultz, (nee Szymanski) age 85, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Valley VNA in Neenah, Wisconsin. On October 21, 1938, Geraldine Victoria was born at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago to Joseph and Victoria (Kubacki) Szymanski. Gerri graduated with her Nursing Diploma from St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She met Marvin A. Schultz and they were married on November 6, 1971 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Chicago. She was employed as an RN until the birth of her children. While a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Gerri enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, & listening to Cubs games. Gerri loved watching the birds and squirrels in her backyard as well as caring for her many dogs over the years.

She moved to Neenah in 2006 to be closer to her grandchildren who she adored. Gerri will be greatly missed by her loving sons: David (Vicki) Schultz MD, and James (Jennifer) Schultz; her grandchildren: Meredith and Evan; her sister-in-law, Ilse Szymanski; her nephew, Mark (Geri) Syzmanski; her furry companion, Amber; as well as her extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Don Szymanski.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7211 W. Talcott Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Inurnment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Arrangements by Kolbus - John V. May Funeral Home, (773)774-3232.
