Zehren, George F.

94, of Chicago, formerly of Waukegan, IL, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2012.
Beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Hawley); loving father of Julie (Jude) D'Souza;
cherished grandfather of Jessica (Richard) Bernstein and Janet (Eric) Dinnen; and proud
great-grandfather of Ezekiel and Joanna Bernstein. Also survived by one cousin, Frank
Hoffman of Houston, TX.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George A. Zehren and Genevieve Johnson
(nee Hoffman); his aunts Rosa (Ludwig) Phillipps, Ann (Walter) Steck, Helen Hoffman,
and his uncle Frank (Fern) Hoffmann.
Born in St. Paul, MN, he lived in Winona, MN, Libertyville and North Chicago, before
moving to Waukegan, IL as a teenager. He was a retiree of Illinois Bell with 45 years
of service, and an active member of Waukegan Seniors upon his retirement.
Memorial mass Saturday October 20, 2012 11:30 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church 7211 W. Talcott Ave. Interment private.
