Frank S. Fabianski Jr., 102, lifelong resident of Chicago, passed away peacefully April 11, 2024. Frank was the loving husband to the late Antoinette for 73 years. Beloved father to Frank (Carol) Fabianski III, Paulette (Edward) Stith, Janet (Daniel) Bryan, the late Carol (the late John) McDonald, Michael (Dale) Fabianski, Mary Fabianski; proud grandfather to 21: Frankie, Joe, Jamie, Aimie, Michael, Andy, Julie, Brian, Kevin, Daniel, Stephen, Colleen, Matthew, Michael, Joan, Elizabeth, (the late) Joseph, Jessica, Mikey, Kelcey, Nicholas; cherished great grandfather of 39: Jackson, Keegan, Molly, Terry, Judy, John, Jack, Wyatt Eamon, Finleigh Edith, Claire, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Mary, Thomas, Anthony, Edward, Joseph, Teresa Anne, Lily, Evelyn, Charles, Francis, William John, George, Daniel, Luke, Jack, Kiley Rose, Jake, Samantha, Sean, Breanne, Robert Michael, John Ricardo, Maximiano, Eva, Christian, Mae; fond brother in-law to Marie Marinelli and Kathy DiPietro; caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during World War II with the 104th Infantry Signal Company, The Timberwolves. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Award. After being discharged, Frank went straight to work at the S&W Foods warehouse, two years later marrying Antoinette, and would spend the next 73 years lovingly raising their family in the Norwood Park neighborhood of Chicago. Frank was very proud to be a Veteran, having just gone this past October to Belgium and The Netherlands, where he was honored for his role in their liberations during the war.
Lie In-State, Wednesday, April 17, 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Immaculate Conception Church, 7211 W. Talcott Ave. Chicago, processing to All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, for interment.
