It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet beloved mother, Fe M. Ignacio. She died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family at her home in Chicago, IL on December 29th, 2022 at the tender age of 80 years old. She was born to loving parents, Encarnation and Marciano Macahasa Sr. on February 26th, 1942 in her hometown of Tanay, Rizal, Philippines.

Fe will be remembered as an accomplished doctor, a world traveler, a loyal Cubs fan, a fashionista, a caregiver to dad, a proud grandmother and above all, a loving, kind, adoring, compassionate, nurturing, supportive and devoted mother to her children.

Fe is preceded in death by her parents Encarnation and Marciano Macahasa Sr. and brother Marciano Macahasa Jr.

Fe is survived by her husband of 53 years, Artemio D. Ignacio Jr., her four children Mari (Matt) Gordon, Mike Ignacio, Jane Ignacio (Scott Terry), Rich Ignacio; grandson JP Terry; sisters Emma (Adring) Celles and Myrna (Resty) Congson; and sister in law Lorna Santa Ines.

A private funeral mass will be held at Holy Name Cathedral for family only.
