Edith I. Walsh (nee Taylor), beloved wife of the late Jerome R. Walsh.  Edith passed peacefully on June 27, 2023, age 95. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Edith was a devoted and caring mother to Walter Zajkowski, Susan Zajkowski, Beatrice Zajkowski, Elizabeth Walsh, Kathleen Walsh, CSM, Ret. Thomas V. (Jill) Walsh, and the late Edith Zajowski. Her presence and guidance were treasured by her children throughout their lives.

Edith was a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Her love and affection for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew no bounds, and they held a special place in her heart.

Edith had a zest for life and pursued many interests. She particularly enjoyed bowling, baking delicious treats, and sewing. Her creative talents shone through in the beautiful garments she crafted with love.

Edith had a deep affection for animals and always had a special place in her heart for them. She found great joy in their companionship and provided them with endless love and care.

Traveling with her late husband, Jerry, in their camper was one of Edith's greatest pleasures. They embarked on countless adventures together, exploring new places and creating cherished memories along the way.

Edith also found great delight in sipping on her favorite cocktail, the Rob Roy. Whether she was enjoying it at home or in the company of loved ones, it brought her a sense of relaxation and contentment.

A Visitation will be held, Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 3 p.m. until time of Service, 5 p.m. at Kolbus-May Funeral Home 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago.  Inurnment at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Hillside, IL will be at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Anti-Cruelty Society in memory of Edith Walsh would be appreciated.
