Dorothy Jane Schneider passed away on February 4, 2025, at age 90. She was born in Chicago, IL on February 21, 1934, and lived in the city all her life. She attended Schurz High School, and was a secretary at Roosevelt University for much of her professional career. In retirement, she enjoyed walking in her neighborhood, collecting cookbooks and recipes, and attending church services and prayer group at Bethany Church.

Dorothy is proceeded in death by her parents and 8 siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Schneider, and son-in-law, David Leininger, of Fort Collins, Colorado; a brother, Henry Schneider, of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends of Dorothy are invited to a time of fellowship and remembrance on Thursday, February 13th, 2025, at 10am, at Kolbus-John V. May Funeral Home, 6857 W Higgins Ave, Chicago, followed by a memorial service in Dorothy's honor at 11:00am.
