Donald J. Kolbus, Sr. age 88, of Huntley, formerly of Chicago. Beloved husband of 53 years to the late Linda Faith Kolbus, nee Borg; dear sister of Beverly Borg; loving father of Donald Jr. (Theresa) Kolbus, James (Andrea) Kolbus, Kristine Kolbus (Robert Hellyer), Debra (Nick) Belcore; cherished grandfather of Zachary, Alyson, Matthew, Joshua, Gianna and Nicholas; dear son of the late John and Elsie Kolbus; fond brother of the late Richard (Maureen) Kolbus.

John, Richard and Donald were the founders and former owners of Kolbus Funeral Home. Don, Linda and the children spent many years at their home in Minocqua, WI and Marathon in the Florida Keys. Don was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.

Visitation Friday, September 18, 2026 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, September 19th, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at Kolbus-May Funeral Home 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago.
