IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dolores M.
Schmoldt
March 7, 1937 – April 30, 2023
Dolores Schmoldt (Semchuck), 86, lifetime resident of Chicago passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth L. Schmoldt; loving mother of Steven (Ivona Kutermankiewicz), John (Margie), Brian; cherished grandmother of Jaclyn (Brian) Nathe, Jonathan Schmoldt, Julie (Kevin) Templin, Sophia Schmoldt; proud great grandmother to Nora, Emmy, and June; adored sister to Barbara (Jim) Kopp, Marty Leshinske; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews; caring niece to Aunt Mamie Andersen.
She is preceded in death by her parents Anna and Walter Semchuck.
Dolores was an off the cuff scratch cook, with recipes always changing. She was most proud when she got to prepare food for her grandkids. She looked forward to holiday meals, especially Christmas Eve dinner where she prided herself on preparing almost all of the meal. She was a tender "dog mom" and made sure to tuck her sweet Ilee in every night at bedtime.
Having gone steady with her beloved Ken since she was sixteen years old, she absolutely loved their trips to the Caribbean and Mexico, doting on their family, and just spending time with each other.
