IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cecelia T.
Halicki
September 28, 1928 – October 16, 2021
Cecelia Therese Halicki, 93; passed away peacefully on Oct. 16, 2021; loving wife of WWII Veteran the late Chester Halicki (who passed in 2010); loving mom of the late Ken (Madonna), Mitch, Bob (Laura) and Ray (Mary); dedicated mother of four; grandmother of eight; great-grandmother of five; aunt to some; and cousin or friend to others. She was a great cook, known for her world-famous bacon and eggs casserole, and cheese cake (along with her sister "Aunt Jean"). She loved working at Resurrection Hospital and her crisp white uniform. She was a great partner to Chester and a loving mother. She loved camping and the country including the cardinals, weeping willows, and white-tailed deer. She has beloved memories with her husband of camp fires and harmonica songs in Polish and English. She enjoyed playing dominoes and rummy with her grandchildren, and always had a "bone to pick with us" if a normal correction was too little. We knew we were in trouble then. She will be greatly missed. Visitation Tues, October 26, at Immaculate Conception Church, 7211 W. Talcott Ave., Chicago, IL from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will be private at St. Adalbert. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
