Carey J. "Red" Chlumsky, age 68, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love that will forever be etched in our hearts.  Carey was the beloved husband of Doreen (nee Cook). Carey was a devoted and loving father to his sons, Bill (Fern) and Matt Chlumsky. He shared with them not only his wisdom but also his passion for life.  Among his most treasured roles was that of a granddad to Annie and Bobby Chlumsky. He delighted in their company and the joy they brought to his life.  Carey is remembered fondly by his siblings, Jody (Gary) Skopick and Todd Chlumsky. He joins in eternal rest with his late brothers, Joseph (Rebecca) Chlumsky and Tim Chlumsky. Together, they forged a bond of family that remains unbreakable.

Carey had a zest for life that was evident in his passions. He had an affinity for pepperoni pizza, savoring each bite with enthusiasm. His heart bled navy and orange as a devoted Chicago Bears fan, cheering on his team with unwavering loyalty. Carey was also an avid knife collector, finding beauty and artistry in each blade.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Saturday, October 7th, at Kolbus-May Funeral Home, located at 6857 W.
