Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving father, Artemio D. Ignacio Jr. He entered into the place of eternal rest on January 31st, 2023 at the tender age of 80-years-old. He was born to parents Artemio Ignacio Sr. and Saturnina Ignacio on January 14th, 1943, in his hometown of San Jose, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.

Artemio, known to many as Jun, will be remembered as an esteemed anesthesiologist, a walking encyclopedia, a history buff, a lover of music, movies, food, sports and travel. He had the gift of the gab and always loved to have a drink and "bend elbows" with anyone in the room. He can be heard raising his glass to you with his famous well-wish phrase, "all the best!" With a passion for the finer things in life he lived his life to the fullest. He celebrated each new day as a gift and was driven by the saying, "this is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad". He was a loving husband, a proud Lolo (grandfather) to his favorite grandson JP and an adoring father to his children.

Artemio is preceded in death by his wife, Fe Ignacio; his parents, Artemio Ignacio Sr. and Saturnina Ignacio.

Artemio is survived by his four children Mari (Matt) Gordon, Mike Ignacio, Jane Ignacio (Scott Terry), Rich Ignacio; grandson JP Terry; and his sister Lorna Santa Ines.

A private funeral mass will be held at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago for family only.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the
American Heart Association, in dad's honor.
