IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Agnes
Vidovic
January 28, 1929 – February 4, 2024
Agnes Vidovic (nee Radich), a resident of New Port Richey, FL (formerly residing in Chicago), died on February 4, 2024. She was born in Chicago on January 28, 1929, daughter of Joseph and Marija (Kirincic) Radich. In 1957, she married Martin Vidovic, and together they had 2 children. Agnes was ahead of her time both in education and career aspirations. She graduated from Lindblom High School. She earned an Associate of Arts degree at Wilson Junior College in 1949, a B.S. in Physical Education at University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) in 1951, and a Master of Science degree at Western Virginia University in 1952. Among other positions, she taught at the University of Chicago Lab School, Lindblom High School, and, for most of her career (1967-1990), as a professor at Truman College. She and husband Martin maintained a part-time travel business, through which they traveled together frequently, escorting groups to Croatia and elsewhere in Europe. Her three greatest passions were traveling, dancing with her husband, and singing and playing electric bass in Martin's (family) band. There are few places on the globe that Agnes did not visit. Agnes was predeceased by her husband, by her brother Joseph Radich, and by her stepmother Rose (a/k/a Luzarija) Radich (nee Jakominic); she is survived by her sister Mary Dolan (nee Radich), daughter Janice Vidovic, son Christopher (& wife Ann) Vidovic, and five grandchildren. Friends and family are welcome to gather and bid Agnes farewell beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m., in each case at St. Monica's Church, 5136 N. NottinghamAve., Chicago, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
